Welcome to the Ventura County Elderly Fall Prevention Coalition’s Fall Prevention Forum Page.
The Ventura County Elderly Fall Prevention Coalition (VCEFPC) is made up of a partnership between a variety of local agencies and organizations, including the Ventura County Area Agency on Aging, with a goal of providing resources and information aimed at reducing injuries and deaths that occur among older adults as a result of falls.
With a focus on improving balance and mobility, VCEFPC partners offer a variety of fall prevention classes as well as two Fall Preventions Forums held annually throughout Ventura County. A spring bilingual forum, which is held in April each year, is targeted at Spanish-speaking individuals and offers English translation. A late summer forum, held in September, offers information in English with Spanish translation available by request. Forums are currently being held virtually to keep the public and VCEFPC partners healthy and safe as we navigate the COVID-19 crisis.
We encourage you to check back regularly for updates and additional information and resources. To contact the VCAAA’s Fall Prevention Program, call (805) 477-7300 or e-mail Fall.Prevention.Program@ventura.org.
The next Fall Prevention Forum will be held September 12th – September 16th, 2022.
