The VCAAA’s Advisory Council is a community-based body of advocates who share a mission to create and sustain programs that impact the lives of older adults, people with disabilities and family caregivers. Members represent the Ventura County Board of Supervisors, local cities, service providers and focused populations.

Meetings are now being held at the HSA RiverPark office at 2901 N. Ventura Road in Oxnard. The meeting will take place in the Ventura Room on the third floor.

The Council meets six times a year. Much of the work is done in committees, or through participation in outreach, grantee site visits, task force groups, and issues of County concern.
There are subcommittees for:
- Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC)
- Housing
- Optimal Aging
- Senior Nutrition & Health
- Transportation
- Workforce
